Today is a rest day from running, so I did the shred level 1. I think maybe I'll move up to level 2 next week and do that for about a month, then do level 3 for about a month. I was at Target last night and saw that Jillian has a new DVD that looks similar to the shred. It's called Ripped in 30, or something like that. I didn't buy it. But maybe in a couple of months when I've gotten what I can out of the shred, I'll get it and hopefully it will be different enough from the shred to give me a new challenge.

I always do the shred in bare feet. I'm hoping that strengthens my feet a bit so that one of these days I can start running barefoot or in my Five Fingers.

The cardio part hurts my feet if I'm barefoot. I would never be able to run barefoot. I've never been really tempted to try until you worked on that last year. I bet your feet would get the strength they need from those double jumps in level 2.

Just wait until the snow is gone before running in your 5 fingers :)

Nice job getting up and getting that shred done, it is brutal!

Have you tried the "Last Chance Workout" dvd? It's my favorite...when I actually do it;) I was going to see if you guys were going to be running next Sat (16th) and how far you are going? I need to get in about 15 miles and thought it would be fun to meet up with someone for part of it. Let me know! Thanks!

Jodee, we'll be running 14 miles on the 16th. We start at the Goodson Rec Center, which is on University Avenue just a little north of Arapahoe Road. We have been meeting there at about 7:15 am on Saturdays, but it can vary based on what obligations people have later in the day. So you'd have to check with me closer to that date about the start time. You're welcome to join us if you like. We run about a 10:00 pace, give or take 30 seconds at any given time.
