Easy run.

5:49 am, 60° F, 57% humidity, wind 5 S.

I worked about11 hours on Tuesday, but only 8 hours yesterday, so I decided to try to run this morning. I need to get myself back up to running more days of the week. In order to do that, I'm going with really low mileage at least some days. Hence, the 3 miles today. I just got to get back in the habit of getting out the door. Also, my knee felt a little funky. It didn't hurt exactly, but I could feel it. Actually, it's just below the knee on the outside. In any case, short mileage is probably safer for me right now.

AP: 9:07. Splits: 9:35, 9:08, 8:37.

Take is easy and slowly ease your way back and I'm sure you will be fine.

I like your plan. Take it easy on the knee and work and recreating the habit of getting out in the morning. You'll be back to your old crazy dedicated self in no time.

What's the deal? You're slacking almost as much as I am... :-)

For sure! A 3 miler is often just enough to open up the capillaries but not wake up the dragons.

I think my that is my problem... I tend to wake up my dragons.

The best cure for funky knee is short, easy runs until the funk is dispelled.

Sounds like a slight illiotibial band issue. Do the crossed leg standing side stretch in sets of three several times a day. I bet it'll be gone in a day or so if you do.
