I'm sure that a good portion of my soreness yesterday was from doing the Shred on Wednesday for the first time in many months. Nevertheless, I skipped the run today and did the Shred level 1 again. I'll run tomorrow. I figure I've got to keep doing the Shred and pretty soon it won't make me sore anymore. Also, I've got to try to get to work early today.

Your hip will thank you.

I was talking to a coworker the other day who was sore because it was the first time she had lifted weights in months. I told her that happens to me every time I lift weights because I never do it. I'm weak sauce.

I have probably explained it before, but what is shred!

From The Quiet Pirate on Fri, Jul 09, 2010 at 12:28:08 from 65.191.108.72

I'm not consistent enough with the shred video so every time I do it, I can feel the burn the next couple of days.

It's a good workout though, and you've got to love Jillian and her "huh Buddy?" comments.

Way to "shred" the workouts.

Smart rest considering this weeks hip issues etc.

SHRED away!!!! It sounds and looks super tough, you will be all "ripped" before you know it.

Have a great weekend!

Yes shred hurts if you haven't done it in a while. I swear level three makes my legs hurt and level 2 makes my arms/shoulders hurt.

From RAD on Fri, Jul 09, 2010 at 18:45:58 from 67.172.229.125

I don't think I'd even be brave enough to turn the shred video on - so kudos to you for getting it done, and twice!!

Enjoy the running rest day!

From Tracy on Fri, Jul 09, 2010 at 18:48:11 from 173.23.75.96

I like the Shred, but Jillian's assumption that all of the people doing her video are ready to give up any second is kinda annoying...

Enjoy tomorrow's run!

Tracy that is a good point! I don't like that either!
