My 6-year-old daughter came into my room at 4:00 this morning because she had had a bad dream. She climbed into my bed and I tried to sleep until she got up and went back to her own bed at 5:00, at which time I heard my son get up and get in the shower and I tried to get back to sleep knowing that my alarm would go off at 5:30. So I'm tired today.

Very slow and easy run this morning. I'm going to do slow runs all week and then try to run fast for the 5K race on Saturday.

It was cool and slightly drizzly this morning. Last week I was surprised every morning that it was cool because it was the first week that we've had cool temperatures in the morning. I guess that's the way it's going to be for a while now until it gets even colder.

Gotta love the mornings where the little feet come pitter-patter in the wee hours! I have an almost 4-year-old that went through a phase where he crawled in bed with us every day for months. Now I have him trained--he still wakes up (mostly to go to the bathroom), but he knows he can't come in bed with us (he's all elbows). But sometimes I can't sleep after that. It does make for a long day.

But you got in a good run--good job. We're experiencing the cooler temps too, and boy does that help with running!

Good luck on your race this weekend!
