Easy run.

7:15 am, 24-35°F, 40% humidity, wind 5 SW.

We had a little miscommunication about the meeting place this morning. As a result, Ali, who ran with us last week and twisted her ankle, didn't run with us this morning. So it was me and the two Michelles and we ran on the streets rather than the trail. I further messed things up by pausing my watch and while waiting to cross a street and then neglecting to restart it until over 2 miles later. So I'm not posting splits today because they're messed up. And I had to use mapmyrun.com to figure out my total distance and a pace calculator to get my average pace, so I just have imprecise stats today. I'm figuring my average pace as about 9:48.

In any case, I ran 1.4 miles to the meeting spot, then ran with the Michelles, and then ran about 1.5 home. When we were almost to where I split from the Michelles at the end, Michelle #1 wanted to pick up the pace and boy did she sprint to the end. I couldn't keep up with her.

My knee felt a little strange but I wouldn't really call it pain.

Sorry about the miscommunication. I will make sure and do better next week. I am glad your knee is feeling ok. It is funny how an 8 mile run turns into 10.4 for you. You have always got that little extra!

Nice work Carolyn, sorry that knee is still bugging you! It's funny how dependent on those garmins we become!!

I forget to restart my watch all the time - so frustrating! But honestly, I don't think it's good for us to look at our splits every day. Just my 2c. Have a great weekend.

I agree with Sno - sometimes its nice to judge the Easy run by "easy effort". I am glad your knee didn't hurt today. Mine didn't either, so the stars must be aligned right. Whatever the reason, I'm grateful.

My knee has been acting wonky. I finally pinned down how it feels. It feels like it felt the day of my very first 1/2 marathon. I hpe that isn't a bad thing!

Glad you were up for a ten miler today. Good sign. If your knee keeps feeling strange, I recommend not feeling it anymore.

Glad you were able to go out and finish the week strong. No pain=good. Weird=weird and probably not too fun.

watch? you don't need no stinkn watch - you are a tough runner! I am glad your knee doesn't hurt. I agree with Tracy, weird is weird; though I also like JDs solution, I think I will take that advice in the future myself ;-)

I always do that with my watch! Great run today Carolyn!
