Easy run + level 1 Shred.

5:55 am, 65° F, 74% humidity, winds calm, overcast.

I woke up at 5:20 this morning and wondered why my alarm hadn't gone off at 5:15. It turned out that it was because my alarm was set for 6:30 (because I slept in yesterday), so I reset it for 5:30 and went back to sleep, then hit the snooze alarm at 5:30 and got up at about 5:40. Still, I managed to make it out the door in time to take the 2-mile route and be at Lindsay's house at 6:15. I ran 3 1/2 miles with Lindsay, and then the rest by myself.

I was lazy and didn't run yesterday. Thursdays are my most frequently skipped day lately. I think it's because my plan is to run longer on Thursdays and that intimidates me, and so I don't run at all. Maybe I need to give myself permission to do shorter runs on Thursdays so that I don't scare myself.

I ran slowly this morning. Part of the reason was that I run slower when I'm with Lindsay, but I was pretty slow when I was by myself too. I think I'm slowing down because I've been eating very poorly and I've gained some weight.

AP: 9:50. Splits: 9:57, 9;32, 9:44, 10:01, 10:01, 9:59, 0.6 @ 9:28.

I hear ya on eating poorly. I start out breakfast just fine and it all goes to poop by lunch!

Nice job on getting out and getting it done today. I say change your Thursday plan, give yourself some room to breathe.

Maybe we should start our 'exchange' again? I could certainly use some accountability with eating 3 bowls of ice cream at night! :)

Slow or not I still thing your splits were great!!

I think it's okay to take days off, I do it all the time. But I don't net as much success as you do either.

I noticed that diet plays a huge role in how well I can run. Not nearly as much as a few pounds +/-.

Enjoy the running and the food...balance in everything. I read eat, pray, love. I think I'd like to have my own year long journey, but I'd like to call it eat, pray, run.

I have to agree with calliej, those are still good splits.

I hope your bad-eating has tasted really good!
