Easy run. Average pace: 10:19.

I slept in until 6:00 this morning since my kids don't have school. However, that probably wasn't the smartest thing to do since I do have to go to work and I'm going to be late. In any case, I got up and did Week 1 Day 2 of the push ups program, then did level 3 of the shred, and then ran. I felt okay on the run, not great, but not horrible. I actually was tempted to push the pace a little at one point, but then didn't because I'm running a 5K tomorrow and I thought I'd save my energy a little bit.

I felt pretty good about yesterday's two-a-day. I might try to do it again some time if the opportunity presents itself.

I am doing the pushups program too. I am stuck on day 3, though. I just cannot move up until I get through this one without the doing the Groan of Death during the last set.

I figured you were. I heard about the pushups program from you. Thanks.

Are you on day 3 of week 1? Which column are you using? I'm doing the middle column.

The level 3 shred, which I did this morning, has "traveling" pushups two different times for about 30 seconds each time. After having done the pushup thing before the shred, I managed to do 8 "traveling" pushups during the first 30 seconds (I usually can fit in 9), and then only managed about 2 during the second 30 seconds. I just collapsed on the ground and waited until the 30 seconds were over.

Also, on Tuesday, after having done Day 1 of the pushups on Monday, I did notice a little delayed onset muscle soreness in my upper body.

I'm hoping that this pushup program does great things for my core and upper body. Maybe when I'm done I'll give pull-ups a try.

I am so happy that you survived yesterday in good form. No need to push today in light of the 5k (good luck, btw). I may have to try the push up program - mine will be modified - probably knee - never could do the full ones no matter how hard I tried - even after 9 months of Boot Camp!

I am Pathetic! I am in week 1, level 1. But the first step to getting better is to admit you have a problem, right? lol Today I managed to get through day 3 a bit easier so I'll be moving on. In my version of the program, I won't be moving up a day until I can do the reps at a comfort level higher than "barely, and I think I might die."

Oh, I just found the link to making the little pocket book version! Did you do that? If not, go here for saving (to print): http://hundredpushups.com/complete.html

Then go here for folding instructions: http://www.pocketmod.com/
