Easy run. Average pace: 10:39/mile.

Outside temp: 23°F

I've got this hacking cough that gives me occasional coughing fits during the day and keeps me up at night. I took some cough syrup with codeine last night in a failed attempt to get a decent night's sleep. This morning when I drove my son to seminary, I was nearly falling asleep at the wheel. Fortunately it's a very short drive. I jokingly wondered if it was possible to fall asleep while running because I went out on my run immediately after the seminary drive. Of course, I didn't fall asleep while running, but I was very sluggish. I suppose it's good when my sluggishness forces me to go as slow and easy as I really should be going on my easy runs.

I was actually a little too warm on my run today. I think I'll wash the clothes I was wearing and wear them again tomorrow because it's supposed to be even colder (the low from 10-15 degrees) tomorrow.

I attempted week 2 day 2 of the pushups program before the drive to seminary this morning. I was supposed to do at least 13 in the last set, and I only managed 9. I guess I'll try day 2 again on Friday and stay with it beyond then if I need to and only move up to day 3 after I can successfully do day 2.

My plan is to do 18 miles this Saturday, but I'm not sure I'll be up to it. I guess I'll just see how it goes.

Wow, that's terrible about your coughing. Do you think you have a bug or is it the cold temps? (I get phlegmy when the air temp drops, especially if it's dry out.)

Br! Awesome job running in it. I got a fleece top for my bday that I wore today for the first time and it is WAY warm. It will be great for temps in the 20-30's when we get them.

I think it's a bug. I've got a runny nose too. I often get a cold when the seasons change, particularly fall/winter and winter/spring. And I'm sure the cold temps don't help. I don't know whether running when I've got a cold helps or hurts, so I just do it anyway.
