Easy run. Average pace: 9:45.

Weather at 6:30 am: 42°F, 21% humidity, wind 6 S.

I'm was still feeling pretty good this morning. There's no seminary this week until Friday because of CSAP testing (that's the statewide standardized test in Colorado), so I slept in a little bit. It's been getting light early enough in the morning now that I'm able to leave my head lamp at home most days. However, with the switch to daylight savings time next week, I'm going to be plunged back into darkness for a while.

While I was out running this morning it occurred to me that I'm about to turn 40 and I'm in the best shape I've been in in my life. That's a nice feeling.

Happy March everyone!

That is the power of running. LOL. You know Carolyn, that it is easier for girls to get in shape than for guys. I noticed one thing. For girls as long as you are skinny then you are in good shape and you look good. However, for us guys, we need to do weight training because skinny does not look good on guys. I hate that. LOL. Anyway, happy 40th birtday (whenever that is)

Congrats on a good start to the week. I'm stuck on a conference call and wanting to chew my own arm off just so I can get out for my run. I'm dressed and ready to go.

Just so you know, my birthday is more towards the end of March. I'm just thinking about it already because it's the big 4-0.

Jun, you should do your conference call on a cell phone and take it with you and go running. Maybe that would work if it's a listen-only kind of call and you don't have to pay too much attention. I have conference calls like that sometimes, but I've never listened to one while running. I have listened to one while watching a t.v. show.

To Hon:

I think it is easier for men to lose weight than it is for women. But I get your point about men feeling like they need to "bulk up" and be muscular to look good. However, even for a woman, skinny does not equal in shape in my book. A skinny woman might look good, but she is not in shape. To be in shape, you need to be physically fit and strong. Skinny usually comes along with that, but it's the physical fitness, not the thinness, that equals being in shape. Just my 2 cents.

Hahaha. I've actually done that. I was even going to do it this morning until my boss sent me an IM saying she wanted me on her conference bridge to discuss the call after it got over. I was actually a little mad because it had nothing to do with me.

I'm heading out for my run in about 30 minutes.

Doesn't that say something! There are very few women in the whole world that could write something like that so casually in their daily logs. You probably never thought that would be something you'd write, either! Incredible! A great accomplishment for your 40th! Keep it up!
