Easy Run. Average pace: 9:45.

Weather at 7 am: 70° F, 48% humidity, wind 5-10 SSW.

Just a short easy run to get the cobwebs out. I was very sluggish the first mile, maybe because I was going into the wind, but I guess that first mile shook the slugs out. I was trying to focus on form. I didn't want to go to fast, so I tried to have a really short stride with a mid-foot strike and a good heel lift on the kick back. I felt much better by the end of the run than I did at the first, even though I was heading back into the wind at the end. Splits were 10:14, 9:39, 9:25, 9:40.

I want to go see Julie & Julia today. I really like Amy Adams and the movie is getting great reviews. Or I might take my husband to see (500) Days of Summer. I saw it already, but he didn't, and I'm willing to see it again. I want to do something fun and relaxing today so that I'll be in a happy place for the race tomorrow. Of course I do not need to go to work at least a little bit.

That sounds like a really great pre race day run. You will feel really well rested tomorrow!

I want to see Julie and Julia too; I just read a review in this morning's paper, and Meryl Streep is supposed to be fantastic.

Nice job on the run! It's always nice to get out on a good easy form run just before a race. I'm so excited for your race!!! Can't wait to hear about it. Don't eat too much popcorn at the movies today :)

It is wonderful to feel yourself loosen up as you run. I hope you can do a little warming up before your race. Best wishes!!!

I would like to see that movie too!

I'm going to see Julie and Julia tomorrow with my SILs. The reviews I've read say Meryl Streep is terrific but the movie is only so-so. I'll let you know what I think, but just to be upfront, I'm only going along for the ride, really.

We saw Julie & Julia. I really enjoyed it and I'm not really a foodie or much of a cook. I liked it better than my husband did. It's kind of a chick flick.

Can't wait for the race report!!
