I certainly haven't been shopping for any new shoes
And I certainly haven't been spreading myself around
I still only travel by foot and by foot it's a slow climb
But I'm good at being uncomfortable so I can't stop changing all the time

I noticed that my opponent is always on the go
And won't go slow so as not to focus and I notice
He'll hitch a ride with any guide as long as they go fast from whence he came
But he's no good at being uncomfortable so he can't stop staying exactly the same

If there was a better way to go then it would find me
I can't help it the road just rolls out behind me
Be kind to me or treat me mean
I'll make the most of it I'm an extraordinary machine

Good run. HIGH humidity. Interesting poem, is it yours?

Sadly, no. It is lyrics from a Fiona Apple song.

Nice lyrics - a good attitude for marathon running I think. You have some nasty humidity today, eh! I believe that is my least favorite condition.

Like the lyrics. It took me a second to figure out that wasn't you talking :)

So you're a broken record, eh? Since when?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Mon, Aug 31, 2009 at 21:10:49 from 24.8.167.243

Since sometime last week, Tracy. I feel like I'm just doing the same things and the same workouts day after day after day after day.

You're doing great. I do have to sympathize with the monotony! It's so hard to change things up sometimes. Same routes..same paces...same focus...blah, blah, blah. Good luck getting the record fixed. Wish I had some good suggestions how to do it :(

I like the song. You are AWESOME Carolyn!!!
