Easyish run.

6:15 am, 38-40° F, 33% humidity, wind 3 SE.

I ran with Lindsay and Allie this morning. I ran about 1/2 mile to the meeting place, then ran 2.5 with them, and then the rest by myself. Allie tends to run just a wee bit faster than is really comfortable to me, so I was slightly out of my comfort zone for the first couple of miles. They weren't blistering fast (in fact, they were rather slow), but they had a fair amount of uphill and it's hard for me to start at that pace with an uphill. It takes me a couple of miles to get warmed up. Maybe that's because I'm a good chunk older than Lindsay and Allie.

I wore long pants and a long sleeve shirt, though I was smart enough to skip the ear covering and gloves. But I was too warm by the end. I hereby resolve that next time the temperature is about 40° and it's sunny when I leave for a run, that I will have the guts to wear shorts and a short sleeved shirt.

Nice run! Running faster to keep up with others is tough, but it helps us improve :-)

Have a great week-end. Are you doing a long run tomorrow?

If you consider 7 miles a long run, yes. I'm running 7 with Michelle tomorrow. And it will end with that nasty mile long hill again.

40 sounds about right to ditch the Capri pants. We actually had three shorts days this week!

shorts?!? I'm not that brave yet. I need it to be 60's before I tackle shorts. Nice job working on pushing the pace just a bit with Allie. Good luck on that long run/hill tomorrow - uuggghhh! Living up-hill from everything I can sympathize with the endless uphill at the end, it STINKS!

I'm scared to wear shorts after it has been so cold for so long. But in the fall I wear shorts for as long as possible.

RAD you are crazy!!! I would be a puddle of sweat if I waited until it was 60 before I put on shorts. I say 40 is my cut.
