GA run.

6:20 am, 70° F, 33% humidity, wind 12 S, sunny.

I know a lot of you run in hotter temperatures and much more humidity, but this felt quite warm to me this morning. I got really sweaty.

My current thinking is that I'll do easy runs on M, W, and F, and then push either the pace or the distance on Tuesday and Thursday. I don't have a lot of this this morning (still busy at work) so I decided to push the pace instead of the distance. I kept a relatively steady effort the whole time, but some miles were faster than others based on the terrain. So a couple of the miles landed below my 8:30 fast mile designation. They were downhill miles.

I haven't been keeping up on blogs very well. I apologize. This working hard all day is doing me in.

AP: 8:50. Splits: 9:43, 8:54, 8:46, 8:25, 8:44, 8:26.

I hope you get a break from the work soon. How's the hip?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, Jul 13, 2010 at 10:23:13 from 24.8.167.243

The hip doesn't really bother me when I'm running, but I still feel a little tightness at other times, like when I try to put pants on.

Here's some advice in regards to your blog and comments. 1. The appearance of work is more important than actual work. Carry around a stack of paper or notepad and no one will question what you are doing. When your projects aren't finished by the deadline, just say the dog ate your homework. It's so silly they will actually believe it. 2. Running fast is fun. Keep doing it. 3. Wear skirts. I've considered going to them myself (a kilt, that is).

Great workout today. Those splits are quick.

Nice work on the run this morning! Work is crazy when it messes up our 'social life' :) I like the plan for running - I hope work gives you a break soon!

Good weekly plan. Are you working towards any races or anything?

From CookieLegs on Tue, Jul 13, 2010 at 14:00:50 from 155.101.152.105

Jun has a good point, just don't mess up and accidentially use the word blog instead of dog or they'll be on to you!

Seriously, I've been too busy to blog much lately either. But I'm glad your hip pain is getting better, and I totally agree with you about how hot it has been lately!

I think I speak for everyone when I absolve you of your guilt for not keeping up.

Something has to give when you have a lot on your plate...

It is hard to do all you do and blog!!! And, i am with you. 70 degrees is about as hot as I can stand it, especially if the sun is out!

Have a great week!

JD, there are some local races coming up that I've done in the past, but I'm not committed to anything at this point.
