I got up this morning and drove to seminary and then came home and was making my husband's lunch when I realized that I needed to clean out my refrigerator because my mother-in-law is coming this afternoon. If I didn't clean it out, she would find things to throw away and make me feel like a failure for having spoiled things in my fridge. I don't deal well with that scenario.

I thought about doing the shred and then cleaning out the fridge, but my anxiety about the fridge got the better of me, so I did that first. Then I started the shred, but I had to stop after 2 circuits and drive my daughter to school. That took about 10 minutes. When I got home I finished the shred.

Now on to the rest of my busy day.

It's like the never-ending shred...always waiting for you when you finish your errands.

I know we've discussed MILs and food in fridges before, you have my sympathy. I'll be sending you positive thoughts!!

Will this visit be the inspriation needed to get out for a few long runs?

My in-laws are just coming so that they can go to my husband's orchestra concert tomorrow night. They leave on Sunday afternoon. I've got to go pick them up from the airport today.

Sending you love and good vibes to deal with your MIL. It's funny because as I read you post I thought... it's never my MIL that brings the anxiety... she lives in our basement. It's my Mom... love her alot, but she can bring the guilt!
