No run is an easy run anymore.

6:41 am, 13° F, 66% humidity, winds calm.

I've got the day off from work today, so I was able to meet Lindsay at 6:45 (we meet at a corner that's halfway between our houses, so I had to leave a little before 6:45). She normally meets Allie at that time on Mondays, but Allie wasn't available today.

It was cold this morning and I haven't done laundry recently enough, so I had to wear my cheap part wool shirt that is slightly too short for me now that I've put on some weight. So it kept coming untucked and bunched up above my jelly roll. I had on another shirt that was long enough to keep me covered, but with only the one layer over my jelly roll, it got quite cold.

I figure I'll try to run 4 days/week. If I can do that for three consecutive weeks, then I'll add in another run.

There was a hill in the last mile today that slowed me down.

I like the plan. And I like the term "jelly roll." It makes it sound nicer, like everyone should want one :)

I would have said "muffin top," but it was more jelly roll shaped when it was squished above the waist band of my pants. Maybe that's too graphic. At least I'm not posting a picture.

I think I know what one looks like. And I won't post a pic either...

WOW, it was cold for you today! We were much warmer, I wish you could have run with me in the sun and 40 degrees!

Love the comment about the jelly roll, glad to know I am not alone. My winter running clothes malfunction due to my "baby fat" and it is frustrating! Hope you got some laundry done so the next run will be more comfortable.

Good plans with the running!

I'm not only a member of the jelly roll for runners club, I'm also the president!!

You've got a great do-able goal. I hope spring comes soon!!

Sounds like the perfect way to get back at it. Glad things are going well and that you were able to run with a friend - always makes the run easier for me!

I think I am in the running for vice president of the jelly roll club. As everyone stated... Good plain!

Very smart plan Carolyn! Brrr! It's very cold for you.

From Kelli on Tue, Feb 22, 2011 at 19:57:50 from 71.219.69.52

I am sick of waiting for spring, I am going to get in my car and go find it!

have you noticed that the "jelly roll" kind of gets frostbite in the cold? It is the last place on my body to warm up and it sometimes will stay purple for half of the day!

Red belly is so fun! LOL and fitting in four days is so much easier than 5!
