Progression run.

8:19 am, 54-58° F, 12% humidity, winds calm. That's pretty low humidity, don't you think?

I couldn't get anyone to meet me for a run this morning, so I slept in and then went and ran on the Highline Canal all by myself. I didn't have any plan other than to run 6 or 7 miles. And of course, despite my slacking of late, if I'm ever trying to decide between two distances, I almost always choose the longer distance. Not that 7 is long. Anyway, I just started running and after 2 or 3 miles I realized that I was speeding up and so I decided to turn it into a progression run. My plan from that point on was to not get slower, though I did run the 4th mile one second slower than the 3rd mile. I'll call it a progression run anyway. I really struggled to keep up the pace the last mile and when I stopped I felt like I was going to throw up. It took me a long time to get my breathing back to normal.

The trail was pretty crowded. There were a whole bunch of high school cross country runners on the trail. I did pass a lot of people during the 2nd half of my run.

And hey, I ran three days in a row. I had an easier week at work this week than I did the previous week. I don't know how it will go next week.

I'm glad you've had a good week and that your run today went so well! Even if you did hit puke pace :)

Onward and Upward to next week - unless life gets in the way!

Wonderful progressive run. That last mile is quick! And I don't think our humidity gauge gets below 40%...I think we'd all shrivel up and die if it were only 12% out here.

The humidity got down to 4% this afternoon.
