Easy run.

I tried to get out early today so that I could be home in time to drive to seminary. I sometimes try to give my husband a break from seminary driving on Wednesdays because he has rehearsals on Tuesday nights and likes to sleep in on Wednesday mornings.

We left for seminary this morning and then had to turn around and come back because the boy had forgotten to shave. He has precious few hairs on his chinny chin chin, but I guess they bother him and he wanted to get rid of them. He got back in the car smelling strongly of whatever it is he puts on his face.

AP: 9:50. Splits: 10:22, 9:50, 9:36, 9:31.

Hahahaha, I remember those days. My 12 year old got in the car yesterday smelling strongly of Axe. After an eye roll I gave him a hard time. Silly boys.

i work with youth in various churches, and during one lock-in type event, the jr. high boys were dousing themselves with axe. given that most (if not all) of them were far too bashful to ever really approach a girl, i gave them a hard time about "smelling pretty for each other."

oh, I'm laughing SO hard! Gotta love boys, I can't wait until mine get older...oh, wait, yeah I can. What is with Axe? It really doesn't smell that good!?!

Nice job on the run and taking care of everyone else. You are an amazing mother and wife!

I've got an Axe addicted teenage boy too!! I don't care...I'd rather have him smell like Axe than the wet dog BO that comes from them sweating and sitting around in it.

Puberty in boys is something I hadn't noticed when I was a teen-ager (too concerned with myself), so it's amusing to watch it unfold in children now that I'm and adult.

Glad you got to run. You're a very good mom & wife. I think someone should take you out for pancakes on Saturday!

My first and third boys really like Axe. I think the oldest used to bathe in it. But the particular boy in this story is his own man. He doesn't like Axe. And he refuses to use a regular razor, so he has an electric razor and he has some green stuff he puts on his face before he shaves. I don't know what it is. But that's what I was smelling.

I'm 46 and still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.

From auntieem on Thu, Sep 23, 2010 at 10:16:58 from 71.197.249.174

I have a boy who thinks smelling good is not taking a shower for a week.

JD - I am older than you and still waiting as well. It is a conundrum.

That is funny......

Hey I say kudos to him for caring how he smells. I actually enjoy running by the high school in the mornings because of the plethora of different after shave/cologne smells to take in. Its better than smelling like B.O. or morning breath.
