Easy run with natural progression. 6:11 am, 53° F, 37% humidity, wind 3 SSE. I kept my run shorter this morning so that we can try to fit in piano practicing before school. And I'm all about short and easy these days anyway. I passed a guy in my last mile. I felt sorry for him getting chicked by an old woman who was out for an easy run. AP: 9:27. | Easy run. 6:16 am, 52° F, 66% humidity, wind 3 SSE. I decided to live life on the edge and run 4.6 miles instead of 4 miles. AP: 9:37. Splits: 10:09, 9:42, 9:33, 9:20, 0.6 @ 9:09.

| Easy run. 5:43 am, 56° F, 52% humidity, wind 5 SSE. I ran as far as I could and still be home by 6:15. I either have to be home from my run by 6:15, or leave after 6:05 and be home by 7:00. If I'm going to take the first option, I need to start getting up earlier. It was easier to get up early last year (not that it was easy) because my husband was getting up at the same time. But now he doesn't have to get up so early. Another difference is that I'm leaving for work a good hour or hour and a half earlier now than I was last Spring when I was in marathon training. My mornings just aren't what they used to be. It was dark for my whole run. I had to wear my head lamp for the second time this season. I tried to shine it at a driver who failed to stop behind the white line and just kept rolling. I wasn't sure (s)he was going to stop at all, and if so, where.

| Easy run. 6:06 am, 55° F, 46% humidity, wind 4 SSW. I would not have run today if I hadn't been meeting Lindsay. And she probably wishes that I had skipped the run because she was struggling with a kid who wouldn't go back to bed when I got there. So we just ran 3 miles instead of our usual 4 together, but I always run 2 miles more than she does when we run together because it's about a mile from my house to her house and we start and end the part together at her house. The work has piled up again and I'm looking at long hours for the next few days. Yesterday was a long day at work and I'm afraid today will be too. And I'll probably need to work some tomorrow. AP: 9:38. Splits: 9:59, 9:20, 9:48, 9:38, 9:24.
